Visit CambridgeFirst, the tourist bit...Here's a quick look at Cambridge. Kings College ChapelThis is Kings college chapel, one of the most famous buildings in town. The tower on the horizon is the university library building, and bottom-right is the senate house Most photographs of this building are taken from the west; this photo was
taken from the top of St Marys church tower.

Queens' college. Here is a view of the library (left) and the old chapel
(right) from inside the old courtyard. These buildings were completed in 1449.
Botanic GardensCambridge botanical gardens are located on Bateman Street, which joins Trumpington Road and Mill Road. With woodlands, flower beds and glass-houses, it's a great place to lose yourself for a few hours. Just a dead branch which has been put in one of the flower-beds,
but I like it!

Punt! 800 x 557 JPG, 100KB
Here's one of the many boatyards from which you can hire a punt. Charges are usually by the ¼ hour, with rates from £6 per hour depending on which company you use, and whether you want to go down the backs or up to Granchester. You can punt from Cambridge along the "Backs" (i.e. backs of the colleges), or up-river as far as Byron's pool near Granchester, a distance of about 5Km in total. Punts can take six people in comfort, and can be hired for a modest hourly fee. Punting isn't all that difficult; instructions are available, and if you prefer not to pole yourself, there are plenty students who will give you a guided tour. If you can, try it. It isn't the fastest way to travel, but speed isn't everything. It must be one of the most relaxing ways to spend your time.
